Kelty Late Start 2P - Lightweight 2 Person Backpacking Tent

With its color-coded attachment points and handy pole sleeves, the two-person Kelty Late Start 2P tent is a breeze to set up. It also offers excellent ventilation and reliable durability at an affordable price. The tapered tent measures 85" x 54" (at its widest point), providing an interior area of 29.5 square feet with a peak height of 40 inches. It features a single vestibule protecting 7.85 square feet of storage space, and the two aluminum poles are pre-bent to create extra room inside the tent.

The tent's design includes pockets at each corner to keep one end of the pole secure as you move around, preventing the common problem of tent poles jumping out of grommets. With a single door, the walls are made of No-see-um mesh, and the floor is tough 68 denier fabric, water resistant to 1800 mm. Internal storage includes a ceiling pocket, and the tent body is protected by a waterproof 68 denier rainfly with all seams sealed to keep the water out.

The freestanding design allows you to pitch the tent and then move it around to find the best site. This tent includes Kelty's Shark Mouth stuff sack, designed to make packing up easier. Additionally, the custom-fit Kelty Late Start 2P Footprint (sold separately) can further protect your tent from wet ground, roots, and rocks.

Kelty's quickcorners make setting up the tent fast and easy, with pole sleeves at the tent corners matched with pre-bent aluminum poles for a formidable frame. The Shark Mouth stuff sack also makes packing up in the morning a breeze.

The tent is constructed with durable 68D polyester fabrics in the bathtub-style floor and flysheet, which are waterproof and built to last. The roomy interior offers a peak height of up to 56 inches within a simple single-door design.

The full-coverage rainfly in 68D Polyester / 1200 mm / C0 provides ample air flow even in rough conditions, keeping your gear dry and safely nestled inside. The Kelty Late Start 2P tent is available in multiple sizes, with the 1P model offering 20.6 square feet and a 37-inch peak, the 2P model providing 30 square feet and a 40-inch peak, and the 4P model featuring 56 square feet and a 56-inch peak.
